Didn't see KY point it out since he's big on SPARQ, but no one with Cook's athletic profile has been drafted in the first round since 1999.  Guessing he doesn't fall to the second round though.  His tape just looks so good.

The way I'd look at is there is around 7 or so main attributes that go into being a running back. I'd give the edge to cook in the majority of them


Acceleration- Cook

Speed- Cook

Vision- Cook

Agility- Cook

Power- Fournette

Receiving- Cook

Pass blocking - Cook/Fournette (I'd say Cook but others would say Fournette)


Fournette is still an elite prospect of course, can't wait to see him play. Just if you are going to draft a running back that high you may as well get the better one. Think the 3rd or 4th is where all the value is for one though.

Yeah I guess that's true. On film you would easily say Cook is more agile and has better 0-60 than Fournette.

Christian McCaffrey had a better Combine than either Fournette or Cook, and he's got loads of spectacular game tape to back it up.

Dalvin Cook is a thug. If you are going to draft a guy who allegedly hits women, keeps bad company, drinks heavily, has multiple kids with multiple women, and abuses animals, you can get Mixon in a later round. Cook has trouble written all over him.

 

Edit: I know he was found not guilty on the battery charges, but he's had many run ins with the law already.
