Fournette or Cook (merged threads)

I believe Fournette is the best followed by Cook and Mcaffery..
I would go with Fournette.. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Not voting. Would be happy with either. Not voting. Would be upset with either. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'd prefer a trade down before drafting either of them, but I think they're nearly on an equal playing field. Give me cook though, that offensive line was trash and he was all they had.
I would rather trade down. There are some very good RB's in this class, but between these two, Fournette. It's the only decision I would make. I want no part of Cook.
Those "thread starting" classes are paying off a bit HOTD.
I'd prefer Fournette over Cook. As Treestone said, I'd be thrilled with a trade back and then grabbing one.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

Both offer than homerun speed but Fournette is bigger and more powerful. Quote:I disagree. Unless Fournette's long term health is an issue, I think he's the better player. The way I'd look at is there is around 7 or so main attributes that go into being a running back. I'd give the edge to cook in the majority of them Acceleration- Cook Speed- Cook Vision- Cook Agility- Cook Power- Fournette Receiving- Cook Pass blocking - Cook/Fournette (I'd say Cook but others would say Fournette) Fournette is still an elite prospect of course, can't wait to see him play. Just if you are going to draft a running back that high you may as well get the better one. Think the 3rd or 4th is where all the value is for one though. Quote:Apart from being better at trucking people, what does Fournette do better than Cook as a running back?I don't see vision or agility going to Cook. Same with receiving. They are pretty comparable in those aspects. I feel Fournette can do everything just as well but has the size advantage and a slightly better inside runner. Hmmm, I'm not sure how you can watch a several games of Fournette and Cook yet say that Fournette is more agile+is a better receiver+ better vision as a runner. Even the most ardent Fournette fans would concede that Cook is better in those aspects.
I didn't say he was better. I'm saying they are fairly even in those regards.
Quote:I didn't say he was better. I'm saying they are fairly even in those regards. I don't think they are at all. Especially in terms of agility and receiving. Fournette has great agility for his size but Cook is a different level. Cook is a good enough receiver to be split out wide.
If you're talking about hands and route running specifically then I see where you're coming from. Once the ball is in their hands though Fournette becomes a runner again and in open space he's just as dangerous. Even more so though because he doesn't need as much momentum to run over guys, but either one can outrun defenses.
