Quote:At what point does it become not an accident? Death?could probably make a case for that being an accident too if every other thing he did in that situation is an accident Quote:At what point does it become not an accident? Death? OMG... it wasn't like the kid was near death... although she might have been after Mixon hit her. You really can't compare a dad punishing his son with a punk knocking out a girl and fracturing her face in eight places.

Quote:OMG... it wasn't like the kid was near death... although she might have been after Mixon hit her.Your verbiage on the situation even tells how imbalanced you believe it is. Both instances were about as bad as it can get for their respective situations, but you went with a very benign "dad punishing his son" to describe ADs but an extreme "punk knocking out a girl fracturing her face in eight places" to describe them. What if you were trying to use the opposite side of the spectrum to describe them? "You really can't compare a gigantic NFL sized dad beating his helpless 40 lb son with a weapon and leaving multiple heinous gashes on his leg to a guy defending himself against a girl who hit him first?" See, both of our statements were true and completely opposite sounding based on how we want the situation to look. I just don't get why you (or most people) are trying to paint one situation as benign and the other as one of the worst assaults ever caught on video and should cause the man to be sentenced to a destitute life of minimum wage living.
I know it's unlikely but i feel like if we are able to draft both Samaje Perine and Joe Mixon in the later rounds that would be a pretty epic backfield. It's highly unlikely but it would be very fun to watch.

I know this is controversial and ill get some stick but it would kinda remind me of Fred Taylor and MJD.

The thing is, I'm not trying to paint the picture a certain way. It's just an absolutely horrible comparison to try and relate a punishment that went a little too far to all-out battery that left a girl unconscious with destroyed face.

Quote:OMG... it wasn't like the kid was near death... although she might have been after Mixon hit her. Yeah, you do. It wasn't punishment. When you decide to use a weapon (switch) on a 4 year old, you just surpassed punishment and went straight to abuse. When I was a kid, we got spanked and that's fine, but my parents never used weapons on us. To leave the marks he left on his kid, was beyond punishment as well. Peterson showed his true colors.

Quote:Smith ended up on the Cowboys and produced better with an established team.Hahahah He produced better by not playing a single snap? What is wrong with you? To have an actual conversation, you have to actually know some things about the conversation you're in.
Quote:HahahahSo your saying he won't play at all? Good teams have players sit. Jack sat for the majority of games too.

#Gojags Quote:So your saying he won't play at all? Good teams have players sit.You said he "produced" which means that he already did something in the past. Which he hasn't. He actually might not ever take a snap in the NFL because the nerve damage is so severe. Read up a little bit before making claims that don't support your statements. I wonder what NFL vets think of Mixon? The on field trash talk would be relentless. I wouldnt take dude honestly.
Quote:I wonder what NFL vets think of Mixon? The on field trash talk would be relentless. I wouldnt take dude honestly.Theres dozens of garbage human beings in the nfl so i doubt this really matters all that much besides a few guys trying to tackle him a little harder.
Quote:You said he "produced" which means that he already did something in the past. Which he hasn't. He actually might not ever take a snap in the NFL because the nerve damage is so severe.Ya know fair enough. However. I have stated I have no time to keep track of others players. So in this situation I assumed and was wrong. But to make it like I am the only one who assumes stuff and is wrong and takes shots. Is equally as wrong. Not one person on the board that did not make a mistake. And to clump everyones situation as one unfortunate acccident is equally wrong and biased. Football is a team sport. And when ya dont play important games. Ya let ya team down. Period. To say if fournette played the game he have nerve damage and wouldnt be the same really? What happened if Jaylon didnt get injured was drafted in first round. Than suffors nerve damage in nfl? Does that make it better? Absolutely not. So no this point comparing one guy to another is pointless to feed a hidden agenda to excuse a guy who gave up on his team.
