Nick Foles

QBs make their coaches, not the other way around.

But keep banging the drum.  You think it's attracting folks to your cause, but all it does is give anyone with a lick of sense a headache.

I guess Greg Cosell's takes don't have a lick of sense and are terrible too, then.

TMD, you keep citing Cosell as if he is out there saying Nick Foles is a bad QB. Cosell has stated that he doesn't see any glaring issues with Foles, but needs a larger sample size to decide if he is for real. Also, you act like Cosell is the only analyst with an opinion. Here is an article from Robert Mays- an Editor over at Grantland. (Grantland, to me, is the most reputable sports news site out there).

http://www.grantland.com/blog/the-triang...s-for-real

"Anyone skeptical of those numbers pointed to two things. The first was that Foles’s gaudy season-long figures were buoyed by a once-in-a-lifetime, seven-touchdown game against the Raiders. The second was that this streak came against teams ranked 23rd, 25th, and 29th in pass-defense DVOA. Yesterday was a chance to render at least the second point moot, with Foles facing Arizona and its second-ranked defense (third against the pass)."

Against Arizona, Foles threw for 21-34 for 237 yards and 3 touchdowns.

"Foles’s lack of overall running ability may shrink some parts of Kelly’s playbook, but yesterday, his ability as a passer showed how other areas can be expanded. Tight end Zach Ertz, the Eagles’ second-round pick this year, had his best game of the season against Arizona, and Foles has turned Riley Cooper into a legitimate receiving threat. His ability to read and manipulate defenses has added a new dimension to the Eagles’ passing game."

Eh, Coaches can make the Quarterback.  I mean, look at Matt Cassel.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I've honestly never heard of the guy.  Any relation to annoying MNF host Howard?

So..... how many 400 yard games does Foles have to put up before he drops the game manager status?

Reply

Dontchya know? Foles is talentless and his 23tds:2ints, 62.0 completion %, and 117.0 QB rating is all because of Chip Kelly.

If Michael Vick was healthy, he would be putting those numbers to shame.

You've never heard of him?? lol. He's been around for a long time doing quality analysis. Yes, he is the nephew of Howard Cosell.

As for Foles getting 400 yards this past week, lol.....garbagetime is cool.

Foles is an average QB, nothing more.

Vick's numbers in that offense if he would have stayed healthy would have him as the talk of the NFL. He may not have had an INT number as low as 2 right now, but thats a LOT of luck on Foles' part anyway, because theres been many Foles passes that have bounced right out of DB's hands that should have been sure INT's this year. Plus he had a few INT's and crucial ones, negated by penalty. But Vick would have topped the other numbers. And added another dimension to the offense with his running. Foles runs like Leftwich.

Vick is horrible and his decision making has always been suspect. He would never be putting up these kinds of numbers. If he would, why has he not been reinstated as starter?

Unless you believe that Vick can read defenses as well as Foles and makes decisions as well as Foles does...

How am I getting "pwned"?

Are you ptarded? Laughing

The only people that like Nick Foles and believe what he's doing now can & will sustain are the same kind of people that liked Zack Dysert last year and probably Derek Carr fans this year.

your agenda towards some qbs are very alarming. your takes are also terrible, trying to compare foles and vick. implying derek carr= david carr due to bloodlines. i mean do you hear yourself? do you actually know football? Your logic is so moronic.

Thats not comparing Foles and Vick as QB, its comparing stats. 2 different entities.

Vick would have put up ridiculously good stats/ fantasy numbers in Kelly's offense had he stayed healthy, HeeRo.
