Thicker cotton hoodies. The guy I saw tonight was walking down the side of the road wearing a hoodie with the hood up and his hands stuck in the pockets while it's 88°. I've seen them in the daytime as well. I don't get it.

It's the same principle the nomads in the desert utilize; the hottest you can get under a well insulated layer of clothing is your body temp of 98.6, while leaving yourself exposed to temps higher than your body heat causes your body temp to go higher, sometimes with deadly results.

I see the hoodie thing too and it makes me question it as well. However, the last 2 people I’ve seen do this were Indian. Foreign, not domestic. I’ve noticed they rock open windows in 90 degree heat…so…??

Depends on the screen size, but if you can handle a 10 incher give me a call, I have lucrative work for you.

India is hideously hot. Makes Florida seem like Antarctica.

We have an eastern Indian friend who runs a school with his wife in southern India and when he comes to visit he makes sure it's in June or July because he can take the heat. The problem with that though is the A/C. He actually wears long sleeves and light jackets when inside.

They're definitely built for the heat over there but sometimes the heat gets deadly for those who live in villages without any way to cool themselves. Kids and the elderly in particular are vulnerable. No part of me ever wants to experience that kind of heat.

Don't forget that's measured diagonally.  Angle of entry is critical.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

Today was HOT!  I actually changed the trucks thermometer to read in Celsius after Monday after it read 102.  You see moral is high when it’s 37 degrees outside.   Pretty low when it’s 100+.  I actually feel cooler seeing it’s only 36 degrees.  Today we saw a homeowner push mowing while it was 36 or 37 degrees Celsius.  They had a hoodie on and the hood was not only on, but the strings were pulled tight.  What the [BLEEP]???

It was a she.  Or at least that is what I surmised.  Many shall be very disappointed in you for assuming it’s gender!   They probably shake their fist at you.  Me? Nah,  I would’ve made the same mistake.

Trivial annoyance: people who use apostrophes incorrectly.

It's the same principle the nomads in the desert utilize; the hottest you can get under a well insulated layer of clothing is your body temp of 98.6,  while leaving yourself exposed to temps higher than your body heat causes your body temp to go higher, sometimes with deadly results.

Desert nomads wear loose clothing that is thick enough to block sunlight but no thicker.
You can get hotter than 98.6 if you over-insulate yourself.
Desert air will not overheat your body because the dew point is very low.  So you want that kind of air taking your sweat and respiration away.  What you don't want is the sun heating your body up.
This goes back to the real danger of global warming.  Today, in the early summer months, parts of the Indian subcontinent get a dew point that is very close to human skin temperature. If the dew point equals human skin temperature, sweat never evaporates and the human body can't cool itself.  So if warming trends continue, the dew point will meet or exceed human body temperature and people will die unless they all get AC. Remember, dew points are typically similar both day and night, so moving activities to night time wont help.  It's hundreds of millions of people all living in an area that may soon be uninhabitable.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

‘ you!

Btw, I didn’t “use” it.  The phone did.

Trivial annoyance: people that don’t give a [BLEEP] and won’t fix grammatical errors their “smart phone” makes.

That would’ve been a better one.

Smile
I added the yellow guy.  Let’s you know I’m not mad at you!  That too could be incorrect for all I know.

Oh, I’m not mad.  Not in the least.  It takes a lot to piss me off. It’s the little things that get me though.

Though, the sentiment holds true.  I type, phone does it’s thing.  And no, I don’t give a [BLEEP] to change it.  I assume all but 1 poster here can decipher what is being conveyed.  I won’t call him out.

Rico called me out on a double negative recently.  Rightfully so, I may add.  Idk what I responded with.  But truth be told, I actually incorrectly quoted a song. Idc if people think I’m stoopids or nots. We’ve all got our blonde moments.  Phones change stuff. It’s all good.
