I certainly appreciate the thought.  I really do.  Most of those people drive nicer cars than we do and slay it on the hand outs.  I doubt many takers.  We’ve even joked about offering a job to a guy that was posted up off 16. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for offering a job to a person in need and willing to work.  Symbiotic relationship, right?  I’m full staffed at the moment.  Plus it’s our “slow” period.  If it were GC.. I’d be a bit more perceptive to the idea.  I know there are a good bit from there heading across the river to do what I do or,  hardscapes, pressure washing, paint, you name it.  If you do that and get positive feedback from the owners/hiring managers then I may take you up on that later on.  Just the wrong time of year over here at “jags, make it shorter than before lawn care service & dog poop mulching, LLC”.

LOL.  A paycheck is for a week.  A good worker's comp claim can pay for years.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

I mean, don't get me wrong. I do my share of good deeds and donations, but not to these peeps. These people are definitely able bodied.

I mean, we all pretty much understand the scam anyway.

Oh, I am definitely mowing what you’re growing.  I wasn’t quite sure how to reply because I couldn’t tell if you were serious or not. Haha. But we’re on the same page.  We’ve had many jokes in the truck.  We’re too kind to roll the window down and ask if they know how to swing a weed eater.  That, along with knowing they don’t give a [BLEEP].  I mean, when I need a sharpie, I can never find one.  When I need a piece of cardboard to shield paint from my intended surface; I don’t have it.  But these “homeless guys” seem to have both readily at hand.  [BLEEP], I’m more tempted to ask to borrow their sharpie.

I accidentally hired a friend of an employee once.  He got drunk and wrecked his car on a road he traveled daily.  Rather than get in trouble, he apparently got 20k because the light pole he crashed into was out at the time.  What’s even more sad, it that that 20k apparently lasted him 2 years before he needed a job.  He was a “1 year wonder” at my business.  I got rid of him and the friend as soon as I could.  I was worried they’d sue my [BLEEP] over something.  Btw, they had nothing to sue me for.  I run things right.

You know she's a keeper when you let one of those go and she either compliments it or high fives you. If she matches your effort, you know you've won the life partner lotto.

Not gonna lie, if she did either of those, I’m out.  That is certainly not lady like.  Smh.  And we’ve been together 20 years.  She toots and I hear about it, I’m done.

I can understand that. I like to think my wife doesn’t poop or sweat either.  Ugh!

The gun show.

With? Prices I can get from local shops/sporting good stores and when I ask if you’ll take “$xxx” you act offended.

Place was packed.

Vendors selling items I’m interested in but really missed the mark. He’s a biometric safe to put on your wall. Sweet! But there are obvious imperfections in the wood, mounts like a picture and on a few of them you put the fingerprint thing on the face?? So any stranger in my house can tell I have something in it and it’s made of wood and you can lift it off the wall and take what’s inside. Yeah…no! There was more but I’m pretty sure the rest rested upon me and my bad social skills and what not.

I just saw the ultimate in distracted driving. The driver of the car in front of me had a display attached to the windshield directly in front of his face. It was offset slightly to the right so the driver's left eye had a direct line of sight forward. He was driving slower than traffic and jerking the car back and forth in the lane to keep it between the lines. Incredible.

Dash cam time, my friend.

I was behind a guy going 10 under the limit today.  He turned at the same place I did.  Except I didn’t turn where he did.  He turned into oncoming traffic(if there were any coming).  There should be a rule we can take these people out.  If nothing else, tell their grandkids about their hazard to themselves

Ka-chunkers at the gas station. You know, those people who grab the gas handle and continue to repeatedly squeeze it after it has kicked off automatically when detecting the tank is full. "Ka-chunk, ka-chunk, ka-chunk..."
They're either trying to round out the sales number to satisfy some odd OCD urge or attempting to overfill their tank one agonizing thimbleful at a time. Either way, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference, but they'll stand there for a solid minute "ka-chunk, ka-chunk, ka-chunk..."

I think I can one up this, unfortunately.  There is a crew that does maintenance at a grocery store right next to the gas station we fill up at “Daily”. They’re there about 2-3 times a week, that I can tell.   I’ve witnessed them going pump to pump to get what drains out without paying.  At first, I felt sorry for them and had them fill up from my pump.  But, week in, week out they keep doing it.  Too much time has passed to conclude they were hurting for money, only thing I can figure out at this point is the owner is that stingy.

I’m a ka-chunker too.  But only if it gets me to the next gallon.  I had an employee get me on the Upside app.  I’ve got about 370-ish cash back I can get in my personal account or various gift cards since this last February.   Has become another game to me.

Had an eye Dr appointment today.  The tech was a very nice Indian lady. She was kind but I had a hard time hearing/understanding what she was asking me to do.  Idk how much of that was her accent and how much of that was my bad hearing. I’m sure it was a combo of the two.  After numerous tests and numerous times of me asking her to repeat herself, she hands me a pair of glasses and a book of images.  She asks me if the image is pretty.  I’m struggling to figure out why an opinionated question would help diagnose any issues I may have.  It was a picture of a fly.  I say (for the millionth time) I’m sorry?  She again asked if the picture was pretty. It’s a fly.  But i humor her , sure it is.  Then tells me to let her know going further which dots were pretty in the following images.  I look at the images. It is then I realized she didn’t say “pretty”.  She was telling me to let her know if they were “3-D”.  Later on, I [BLEEP] up on a test when the real doctor was in. I was asked which lines were “darker or more pronounced”.  I took it literally.  Obviously the black ones were darker than the red ones.  Later on in the test I figured it out.  So I’m not sure the visit went right or not.  I feel I need a redo.
