The bottom line her is that Donnie Jr. showed his political naivete and far too overzealous eagerness to get dirt on Clinton.  When all is said and done, stupidity isn't illegal, and neither is anything they did here.  But, as long as CNN and MSNBC can milk it for ratings, it's going to be a big story.

It not only showed Donnie, Jr's naivete, it showed a willingness by the less naive to get dirt not matter what the source. Manafort, at the very least, should have known better.

It's interesting how Jr's story evolved. The orange didn't fall far from the tree.
