If Albert doesn't retire, Parnell may have been benched.

On another topic....this move could bite Caldwell in the butt. He could have paid Albert more money but instead our Oline has one upgrade in Robinson.

I don't think a guy who started 42 college games and won a national title, is going to make the typical rookie mistakes. I think he'll be more polished.

Parnell played just fine late last season as he got healthier.  He was solid. He wasn't "below average."  This isn't a myth. It happened. I went back and focused on Parnell in those games watching the all22 to see if Caldwell and Marrone were full of it or not when they talked about Parnell improving. They weren't. He looked solid. 
When he does get beat, it's more often by a pass rush, not on a running down. The Jags will indeed be running more in 2017 and he could actually be an asset - not a weakness -  in these instances. 

I don't see Parnell as the weak link in this O-Line. The question marks at guard worry me more. 

Cam will make some rookie mistakes and get abused in a few games by savvy veteran pass rushers. It would be amazing if that didn't happen. But it will.  He's a great LT prospect, but he's a rookie going against vets that are better than what he saw in college. That will show at times.
