Keep in mind the Packers are not doing it for J.J. Watt. He just happens to be the player raising funds for southeast Texas. I doubt they care about the Wisconsin connection.

This has nothing to do with "being out done" or some kind of competition.  It's all about people helping other people out who are in need right now.

That was my point. Also, NFL.com has no reports about the Packers upping their donation amount since the Lions gave Watt's fund $1 million, so I don't believe they did it.
