MJD wants a long-term contract
|
Quote:Even the Chiefs game last night showed it, they lost 2 RBs and the 3rd guy still had a nice game. We probably already have 2 guys on the roster who will be good enough to do the job. Another mid-round pick would probably complete the roster for the next 2 or 3 years. I disagree... Losing Charles was a huge blow late in the game for the Chiefs. Having a shifty running back, like a Sproles, is important so I can see your point there. But having a tough back that can finish plays by punishing the tackler is a big deal, especially when you're trying to protect lead and run out the clock. The chiefs sorely missed Charles and the other guy. The third stringer couldn't get the job done when the chiefs really needed him. I'm not saying MJD is a franchise RB anymore, but I think it's to early to undervalue what he brings to a team. |
