I was comparing the situation to House in that our third string CB like the Packers will get overpaid in Free Agency. Yes, House got 6mil per but it's two years later and Colvin has been better than House in every aspect of the game, hence the 8 to 10mil per. I don't think we should re-sign him though, maybe use a draft pick to replace him or replace him with a CB that's already on the roster.

House was paid to be our #1 CB on the depth chart and the entire league and this fan base laughed that he was wildly overpaid the instant the ink hit the paper. If some team like the 49ers with tons of cap space and no players signs him to be their top corner, then he maybe might sniff $8 million, but as a nickel $5-6 million is the most a corner is going to get.
