Dilly dilly indeed! I'm glad Caldwell is finally realizing ROI on Blake. I'm sure it's been tough for him to grin and bear it the last three years when hearing criticism of his prized first-round QB pick--the GM equivalent of a spouse.
In years past it was the thought that quarterbacks took four years to develop into the final product. Blake has been handy caped by constant coaching changes that demanded learning a new system year after year. That will set most young quarterbacks back in developing an understanding of the offence that can take at least two season to open the play book up.  I also believe keeping Blake in Jacksonville instead of letting him go to quarterback camp was one reason for his degrading mechanics that year.  So Blake's introduction into the NFL was anything but smooth sailing. The change of coaching staff and the continuity and discipline of the new coaching staff has given Blake the time to get comfortable and confident in the offence and we are seeing the results of a young QB finding his stride and playing at the level we all were waiting to see. He is securing his position and will be the starting QB next year if he continues to keep balling.  I also think we need to draft a quarterback to replace Henny who gives us little chance to win games if Blake is injured.  This will enhance competition and the best quarterback will play.  The real plus is we will have a backup who can step in and win games. I for one am hoping  Blake is becoming our franchise quarterback of the future.  After all the criticism by media and fans that he has endured over the past three years he has remained positive and never wavered from his belief of talents.  If anyone deserves to succeed in his quest to be a franchise quarter back it is Blake Bortles.  You have my vote Blake and now lets secure a playoff birth. Go Jags
