Question marks that are pertinent for Lamar are fine. For instance there are legit problems with his mechanics and base when throwing that hurt his accuracy a lot. Thats a big concern. going forward but thankfully quite correctable.
Critiques about his mental prowess and inability to play in an NFL scheme don't have much merit to them. Issues with his size don't have much merit to them.
Overall he's a very good QB prospect, probably has the highest upside this year. Anyone saying he needs to play WR are way off.
Who did that?  Questions on his inability to play in an NFL scheme are legit questions.  You have people that posts from Jackson lovers of a few plays of him going throw a few reads or under center and all of a sudden the guy is ready.  You can find a few plays for any of the QBs.  Watch his games, huge question marks as is his build for a running QB.  Who are the old talking heads you keep speaking of?  You keep saying the same thing and have no proof or named any names
Petrino's scheme has more NFL concepts than 90% of college schemes. He's notoriously tough on his Qbs too. If you watch Lamar you can see tons of examples of NFL type throws and reads. More so than most college Qbs entering the NFL draft. He's also quite competent in the nuances of pocket movement which can rare for a QB as good at running as he is.  He almost never gets hit clean and is excellent at avoiding contact via sliding or going out of bounds. If he starts getting hit bad at the NFL then it will become an issue.

Kiper, Polian, Becht , Grossi , Bradshaw etc etc basically old timers who have no idea what sport they are looking at anymore. Most of the Lamar feedback has been positive. Its just interesting to see the dichotomy at play

Dak Prescott?

Drew Brees?

Russell Wilson?

Maybe even Lamar Jackson.....?

There are some interesting observations made in this article (Primarily in relation to Lamar Jackson) highlighting the "old fashioned" GM's around the league who are fixated on "the look".

Certainly.
Maybe.
Of course.
Probably.
No.

Color has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. I was a huge fan of Warren Moon. The guy knew how to stand in the pocket, find his receivers and deliver strikes. That's the kind of QB I want for this team.

Same guy who said McCaffrey would be bad because he's white LMAO
