This should work although it does probably mean taking a hard pass on QB Lamar Jackson. 

What's your plan for the nickel spot? I see you saying to draft another nickel, but is it your plan to try and replace Colvin with a late round pick? 

Also, what you do about the backup FS spot behind Gip with Peyton Thompson hitting FA? Resign Peyton? Sign a different FA FS? Draft one?


BTW, it looks like Nortman is staying put.


As for that mock draft, I'd love to see them take Mark Andrews at the end of round two, but I suspect he won't escape round one.

I'm not a big Lamar Jackson fan. Some of it MAY be that I'm a UK fan, but I try to keep that out of it. IMO you've already got a guy that has mobility and a problem with accuracy. But that guy is 2" taller, not that big of a deal I know, but BB also has 20 pounds of more protection on him. So, yes I am taking a hard pass on LJ

Ideally, the nickel is already on the team in someone like Myrick or Patmon because I don't think Colvin will be in the Jags price range. If there is a need to sign someone, what is the limit they can realistically afford to pay? Maybe look to see if you can swing a deal with a Justin Coleman, Nickell Robey-Coleman, or a restricted FA like Bryce Callahan?

Backup FS? No idea. Not a lot under 28, with experience players, to choose from on the FA market. Was Peyton Thompson good enough to resign? He shouldn't command a lot of money comparatively, I wouldn't think.
