Blake Bortles Signs Extension through 2020

I'm a little surprised he accepted this deal considering it's only for an extra $7.5 guarantee to lock up his rights for 2 years beyond 2018. That's very team friendly. As much as I was ready to move on, that was very generous of him to sign such a deal, so thanks Blake! I suppose if he goes off this season he could always hold out next year or in 2020 if he feels he's outperformed his contract.
We're still probably drafting a QB to replace Henne, but at least the rook won't be forced to start early and may not ever if Blake takes another big step this season. |
