I wonder what we’ve learned from the decision to go for three years, rather than using the one year option?

As others have pointed out, we could still pick up a potential replacement in the draft, so what’s the thinking here?

Are they saying they’re not confident the long-term answer can be found at the 29th pick perhaps?
