Payne and Matuapuaka have both put some good stuff on tape. They've also allowed some big runs though.
I think Payne is safe as the primary MLB back-up. Matuapuaka may be battling Brown for the back-up WLB spot.

Brown is the one guy I really feel is safe having locked up the backup WLB spot. If anything, the battle is between Matuapuaka and Payne for the backup MLB spot.

Yep, he was with the team several years ago. With him going on IR I have to wonder if he's starting to contemplate retirement.

BTW, when I talked of him going on IR freeing up a roster spot, I may have spoken too soon as I was confusing him with Cody Davis who should lock down a backup S spot.
