Roger Goodell says extra points may be abolished

Quote:Can't believe any Jags fans would support this. Am I the only one who remembers this play: This was the 2nd play that came to mind for me. The first being almost a year later when the Lions scored a TD in the last few seconds of the 4th QTR against the Vikings to cut Minnesota's lead to 28-27. Lions LS Don Muhlbach, who is still with the team and went on to have a very good career, had a low snap on the PAT attempt. Holder Nick Harris, the eventual Jaguars Punter, couldn't get the ball placed in time for Jason Hanson to attempt the PAT. It was a horrific loss but one that demonstrates why the PAT needs to remain part of the NFL. |
