What i can't get is how some people seem to be annoyed that a team expected to be challenging in January, won their 5th game of the season. Yes we will address QB but some people seem to be hypnotized by rookies, it's hype and potential. We could easily bring in a vet or try and make a big trade, there's plenty of ways to go. Everything on that O needs fixing this off season and i'm unsure how helpful throwing a rookie QB and a that comes with it into the mix.

It's a QB league. If you don't have one you are screwed and we don't currently have one. The higher you are in the draft the better you are equipped to solve that problem, especially in a weak class like this.
Winning today doesn't make that impossible (always good to beat a Florida team) , just makes it harder and when you have a front office that can't evaluate the QB position you wanna make it as easy as possible for them to get the job done.
I don't agree that we could easily bring in a vet or make a big trade to fix the position for the next 5 years.
Foles gets like 20 million a year and probably a deal set up like 4 years with a team option after the 2nd year.
I completely get the logic of tanking and I agree that QB is going to be the top priority and who knows what the FO are thinking. They may have someone they like or think they can get and that may have an effect on the OC.
My main points are I want a QB who fits what we are trying to build in terms of O. Do we want a big arm slinger? Do we want accurate short to mid throws? Do we want a mobile QB? I think when we decide what we want them to do, they seem to want to stay with a strong focus on running, it becomes a lot easier finding what your looking for. I don't want A QB just because we drafted him #5, does he have the skill set were looking for.
My other point is I hate making losing acceptable or a better choice. This teams last 15 years have been awful and no team should be bad for that long. The game is designed to help improve bad teams and we have never had a 5-6 year span of being one of the better teams in the league. After the success of last season and many players talking of turning a corner, I worry about the long term effects to a team like ours when a 3 win season is OK as we'll draft a guy to replace one of you.
I may be over reacting but I've lost count of how many times we've only been x away.
