Week 2 Rams 34 Cardinals 0
Week 4 Packers 22 Bills 0
Week 6 Ravens 21 tacks 0
Week 13 Jaguars 6 Colts 0
Week 15 tacks 17 Giants 0
Week 15 Colts 23 Cowboys 0
Week 17 Lions 31 Packers 0
Week 17 Eagles 24 Washington 0

Of those games:
  • Two (2) involved teams with rookie QBs -Cards & Bills
  • One (1) involved teams with injured starting QBs and backups playing (Washington)
  • Two were in week 17 where the teams were out of playoff contention and playing out the string, and the Packers had already fired their coach
  • One involved the Giants, whose QB is old and decrepit and whose OL was possibly even a bigger disaster area than ours.
  • Only one involved a winning team that got next to no help from the offense, and was up against a red hot team who finished in the top five in scoring-that was our game against the Colts, who had won five straight going into our game.
Our defense may not have played as consistently or as spectacularly as it did the year before, but it took a very good defense to shut out the Colts offense this year-our 4-3 team.

That EricC85 dude doesn't have a clue about what he's talking about and never has..

This Defense was #4 in Points allowed per game, #2 in Passing yards allowed, #5 in total yards allowed and #11 in rushing average. That's all while having arguably the worst Offense in the entire NFL.

The only thing this Defense really lacked from last season (besides a far better Offense), is the turnovers in bunches and the Defensive TDs. Other than that, this was still one of the top Defenses in the league.

ok lets play

19th in rush defense, 24th in takeaways, 25th in sacks look at that you can find stats to support any argument.

you want to tell me the team that let gave up 29 points to the worse offense in the league (yea I'm look at you clot fans) in week 10 was a top 5 defense? Or maybe when the Chiefs hung 30 points on them and then the Cowboys hung 40 points the next week! Wait it's probably cause we held the tacks to 30 points in week 14.

I watched every miserable game last year and if you can convince yourself that was a top 5 unit good for your, drink the koolaid I won't blame you but it's in your head and whatever other delusional fan on this message board. We couldn't stop the run, we couldn't stop the passing, we couldn't sack the QB and we sure as hell didn't make turnovers that's not a top 5 defense.
