Totally disagree, and I'm not comfortable at all with Wells starting at RT. We still need a starting RT rather desperately. I admit the needs at TE and WR are nearly as glaring, but they're still behind RT.

Now beyond RT, this does secure a really good swing OT for depth, and I'm glad they came to terms. I was a little worried Wells might find another team willing to pay him more, so it's great to see him return. He's certainly worth a roster spot, but by no means does his signing give us a starter at RT. That's a hole not even close to being filled. There were some FA options who could have secured the spot, but we either failed to sign them or didn't even try. I still want Hockenson as a better overall player in the draft, but I totally get why they seem to be going after that Florida RT.  I don't believe for a second that our intentions there have changed.
