No. Hester was explosive and terrifyingly fast. Mickens has good speed, but what made him special was his first few steps. He got to top speed quickly and could make the first guy miss, and if a punt returner can make the first guy miss, he's got a pretty good shot at a decent return. Once the fumbles started getting into his head, it was over. If he's in camp next year that's a plus, because it's an experienced guy to compete for a special teams job, but tbqh I don't think he would have been on the team by the end of last season if he hadn't been hurt.
