Yeah, at this time I think he almost has to sign the deal. Can't play under the 2M contract he has now (minus the fines who should be around 500K) and then having the team able to tag you next year. Not with the 19M/per year offer he got. He should fire his agent if the plan is just that.
I think they'll agree to a deal very soon, possibly even before the Baltimore game. Probably along the lines of what was offered but with more guaranteed money. We'll see.
