In his presser Foles went on to talk about the Jags and Jax being the best place for him and his family after considering the other options. I'm not making this up.

What about the report that no team was going to pay him nearly as much as we did, but our FO thought that paying him less than $20M a year would undermine what being a "franchise QB" means?

I remember a report that speculated we may have paid a few million more than the next guy was offering.  
And I also remember a quote from the F.O. about why they paid what they did. 
And??  What about it? 

I was lukewarm on the signing but I was glad they weren't sitting on their hands about the position and owned up to failing on the Bortles extension. I didn't see the contract as outrageous. A little high, maybe. 

Didn't you want them to do essentially what they did with Foles two years ago with Cousins?  What's the big difference?
