That's exactly why I said give him the rest of the season. With the number of picks we have the priority #1 for the next two seasons is to come away with a bona fide franchise QB. Not a decent QB that we can win with if we have an all star cast surrounding him. We're seeing now just how fleeting all star casts can be. We need a guy that can carry us through the doldrums, not just ride the crest. We need to be honest and realize that this season is over. We are a bad team, flat out. We do not need to get lulled into a false sense of competition because of a patty cake schedule and think Foles can take over and we're suddenly good. Let Garner play 16 games so we can make the best evaluation for our future.

And no it's not crazy to think a guy with as much college playing experience as Minshew would be better than Haskins right away considering Haskins main worry was his lack of experience. It was a dereliction of duty that the Redskins threw him into the fire they did. And it cost the coach his job, deservedly so.
