I’m a big fan of Minshew, and I think the Jags are in a tough place honestly. A good kind of tough place, but tough nonetheless. I agree identifying how we feel about Minshew and the young QBs coming out in the next two years is priority number 1.

The problem with stockpiling QBs is there are only so many reps to go around to really prepare a young guy...then there are only so many pre-season games to evaluate against other schemes...and then you can’t fully evaluate a QB until he’s in game-day situations against opposing starters when it matters. If Foles doesn’t go down week 1 many here (and even some in the Jags building probably) would still see Minshew as questionable depth as opposed to questionable starter/franchise.

Unfortunately a lot of it comes down to luck/opportunity, even if you scout appropriately, distribution of preparation/opportunity is very difficult to balance. Hopefully Minshew just slaughters it, stays healthy for a decade, and makes the decisions easy.
