Was this supposed to be a make or break season for Marrone?

The thing about Marrone is you've had him long enough to pretty much know what you've got. A coach that is not aggressive offensively, leads an undisciplined team that usually commits silly or numerous penalties, and he coaches from the shadow of Tom Coughlin. That run to the AFC championship game was a result of amazing defensive play and fluke offensive play.
Jacksonville has never had an established coach that has shown results in the NFL, they've never had an aggressive offensive coach minded coach, and they've never reeled in a big name from college. Why not try now? We've seen defensive minded, and we've seen bland. Neither looked good. |
