I realize this... But at some point, he's going to have to stand in the pocket and make throws consistently.... so before the Jackson lovers crown him MVP or put him in the hall, we should give pause.

The thing is Lamars pocket presence has always been a strength of his, even through college. His weakness is throwing outside the numbers as he's elite in the MOF. Will that harm him going forward? Maybe but he has way too many positive traits not to overcome it. 

He's already a DCs nightmare without that being a high level strength. That's why comparing his first 16 games to Dalton and Weedens doesn't make much sense, nobody was scared of either QB even if they might have thrown for more or as many yards.  Andrew Luck threw for more yards in his first 16 games but DCs would take playing him every day.
