After Tom Fears made history being the first Latino head coach in the NFL, many people doubted they would see another Latino coach again soon, then came Flores, and Rivera.

 

Guess what? they are a part of building history as well.

 

When I look at Ron Rivera, I see a white man, not a Latino.

 

People make a big deal about the first time for racial minorities and women because of American history. That makes sense. But today people are calling LGBT members "the new black," meaning now that black people are accepted in society, we have to worry about another demographic minority. That takes away the importance of being the second black person to do something IMHO.
