Has he gotten better, though? Having marginally better stats isn't an indication of getting better if he still gets creamed every time his team comes up against a team with a roster good enough to put the pressure on him to be the difference maker.

 

And that's really what the problem with Dalton boils down to, he's a game manager. He doesn't make plays to take control of and win games and he likely never will. He'll always only be as good as the team around him, and for a team like the Jaguars he'd look like he's a bad QB.
