Arby Jones - If you feel like we’re quitting, don’t come to the game.

And when Arby is packing his bags as he has no dead cap hit if cut after this year.

I can't blame him for the comments.  Professional football players rarely "quit".  I do think that it's out of control and changes to coaching are forthcoming though.  For any "journalist" to say that the football team "quit" is just wrong.  The team didn't "quit" they are just bad.

On a side-note though, this "journalist" and his "editor" are a very good example of why the Florida Times Union is all but done.

From the article (more like an op-ed).
Quote:For the ones who stuck around, they saw a football that continued to be mistake prone and put forth little fight. Wide receivers cannot get open, The offensive line can’t spring holes to effectively establish the ground attack.

I mean come on man... at least get the grammar right.  The football continued to be mistake prone?  This reads much like what you see on poor blog site like BCC.

The concept of a team "quitting on their coach", imo, is more about the players losing confidence in the coach's schemes and taking things into their own hands, to the predictable disastrous results. It could also be a tired defense that maybe doesn't have the same reserves in their tank that a winning team would, or a running back who doesn't feel the need to get himself broken into 27 pieces by trying to milk every yard behind an offensive line that would be significantly better if they were replaced with a cow. Not saying Fournette has quit at all, just that at a high-risk position like that where he's probably only going to get one contract, there's no real reason for him to break himself for this team.

Unless they're Jalen Ramsey. Then they just don't bother trying.
