Why are people doubting Minshew so much?

If you got those things for Tua, the offense would have a much higher ceiling.

Maybe, but spending a first round pick on Tua means one less first round pick for an elite offensive lineman or elite tight end.  I go back and forth, but right now, after yesterday's game, I would lean toward keeping both Foles (for the salary cap ramifications) and Minshew, in the hope that one of them will pan out, and spending our first round picks building the team.

I go back and forth on the QB question, do we need one or not, but if they decide to go next year without drafting one, I could live with that, because that would give us one more good player at another position.  Suppose we have pick #7 or so, should we take Tua or some TE that resembles TJ Hockenson?  A great TE would make a QB like Minshew so much more effective.
Waller tore us up yesterday. A good TE like that changes the complexion of the offense. Unlike Oakland we have hope in receivers like Chark and Conley.

They have to build up this team around what they already have. I don't see Burrow and Tagovailoa in Jacksonville next year.

Herbert is too inconsistent for my liking. If we take a QB in next year's draft. It'll remind me of 2003. We saw some flashes in a rookie by the name of Garrard in 2002.

Chose Leftwich. Ruined Garrard's development. Set our team back for awhile. Where as. You could have rolled with Brunell & Garrard ONE more year and had a shot at Manning, Rivers or Roethlisberger in 2004.

Please don't [BLEEP] this up Khan. Roll with Minshew and Foles one more year. Give them the chances they BOTH deserve and if they fail you have 2021 with more hopeful potentials to choose from at QB.

The fans love Minshew. You can't do wrong by giving him 2020 to prove it. Foles was beat up early on a big contract. Threw a pretty damn TD pass during said injury. The fans are reasonable. Foles wasn't given a fair chance. Let 2020 also be his chance to prove it.

In the mean time you patch up your holes on offense and defense in 2020. It seems like a no brainer to me. But I hope the next regime sees this as well. If not. I guess it'll be a case of hear me now and believe me later.
