The teams standings aren't as relevant to him. As long as it continues to provide decent ROI he's happy. That is his main concern.

Maybe I see it a tad differently, but I think they care and want to succeed.  

That ROI you point out is evidently going to happen regardless, and can only get better when we are good (does any team personify the underdog more than us?  I’d say there is as big an opportunity for the casual fan pulling for the underdog with this team than most other teams).  

That and I see the joy him and his fam have when we win.   He surely was stoked when Leonard dropped the hammer with the 90 yarder against Pitt.  

I think people forget these guys don’t claim to be football geniuses or something.  He could have easily been far less involved and engaged then he has been.   I don’t recall the owner in Major League investing in the team and the facilities, for what it’s worth.
