The player who made history at Super Bowl 48

#10

Quote:Lost in the argument about the importance of a second black starting quarterback winning the Super Bowl is this fact: For the first time in NFL history a deaf player had a chance to win it. His name is Derrick Coleman and he wears #40. Now, the first deaf offensive player in NFL history is getting a Super Bowl ring. Congratulations, Derrick.

This is not the guy who waited until the third round to get picked because he is short. This is the guy who was not even drafted because he can't hear, got cut after three preseason games, and went from one practice squad to another before finally being put on Seattle's active roster. That is impressive by itself but even more so for a guy who needed an MRI to gain clearance to play football because he is legally deaf.

I don't understand why nobody else seems to care about this. If you don't think this is a major accomplishment worthy of praise, something is wrong with you.

Maybe something is wrong with YOU. Are you some kind of power and control freak or something? Who the hell do you think you are to sit here and dictate to us what we should be interested in. Your level of creepiness is starting to reach epic levels.

Quote:Jaggy, yes I did need a new thread about this because when I talked about it in the Russell Wilson one, everybody ignored me.
Maybe people ignore you because you're a real turn off to a whole lot of people. You're an absolute [BLEEP] to a lot of people. I know you have a syndrome which limits your social behaviors, but all that aside, if people don't respond the way you want them to, you act like a 2 year old who just had their toy taken away.  You're on some kind of freaky power trip about how people should act toward you and on this board in general. You think you should start every important thread. (Personally, I don't give a flying [BLEEP] about who starts a thread, but your incessant whining about it makes it really hard to ignore.) Just like this very thread for instance. There is already an existing thread about this very thing which you participated heavily in.

But I guess you had to make YOUR thread about it so you can tell all of us how we're supposed to think and feel. It's beyond creepy.

I am truly sorry about your affliction, but you should seriously consider if you can handle this kind of socialization. As far as this kind of thing is concerned, you seriously need to seek help. You don't handle it well at all.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
