I'd wager nearly anything on that.  Whether he plays for us on the tag or is tagged and traded, he's eventually going to do better than that TC offer. There's a reason he turned that down. 

Players that put up his pressure and FF numbers get paid. Period. He's had one "off" year due to injury and otherwise excellent stats in a league that covets his skillset and has too few players possessing of such talent.

Coughlin isnt here and we still cant come to terms so it's more than just an old man being out of touch.  And Yan likely isn't getting $40M more than he would receive here.  If he chooses to sit out this year, he'll most likely finish his career with less money than he would have had he just taken the original deal.

I'm betting he plays this year either for us on the tag, or with some team that gave us a nice trade deal.
