We had two picks and the 49ers had two picks.  Our two picks were higher than their two picks.

But their two picks (Kinlaw, Aiyuk) were better than our two picks, IMO.  I hope I am wrong.

The question with taking Jones or Cleveland - is either one an upgrade over what we have now?  Robinson and Taylor are both 2nd round picks that many people thought would go in the 1st round.  Taylor was up and down last year, a lot of penalties, but showed some promise - and Robinson was ok his rookie year also, now will be 2 years removed from the knee.  If we were going to try to upgrade at Tackle, it would have had to be at #9 or even at #20. I'd rather see us end up with Hunt, who played both Guard and Tackle, but I think projects at Guard and would hopefully be an upgrade over Cann - anything that gets Cann out of the starting line up would be an improvement.  


I also agree that the 49ers two picks are better than our two picks, but I really hope we're both wrong and Chaissen stays healthy and that Henderson can cover like Jalen - if so, I'll take the "occasional" whif in run support.  Nothing we can do now but support them and welcome them to the team - not their fault that Caldwell is our GM.....

  That is a good question.  I hadn't studied either of them too much.  I liked some of what I saw from Jones in the Senior Bowl.

I think if T was a priority, I agree we would have done so at 9.

I am rooting like hell for our guys to succeed wildly.

I just hope if they DO succeed wildly, we will do a better job in retaining our top talent.
