Depends on the vaccine, imo. Never had a flu shot in my life. Gotten the flu like twice ever.
Had to have certain vaccines to progress through public school system, as have my children, like MMR and Hep.
Newer vaccines like the chicken pox vax I wouldn't have my kids get.
A Covid-19 vaccine (that would be the first ever created for any coronavirus) that is rushed out in less than a year or so, I won't be taking for sure.

My general premise behind being cautious about vaccines is more why put something in your body you don't have to including thimerosal, aluminum, antibiotics, egg proteins, formaldehyde, MSG, polysorbate 80, and a few other things that make the science of vaccines possible.

But to each their own I say... it's your body, put in it what you want.
And if a vaccine will put an end to this nonsense and bring back football,  I'm all for a bunch of people taking it.

I know of people who are pro vaccination and get their flu shot regularly who also said they won't be getting a COVID-19 vaccine anytime soon. They want to wait at least a few years to see how safe/effective it might be. Even if they do come up with a vaccine we still we will have people that won't take it for various reasons. I do wonder when and how a potential vaccination might work out. And how many people will really get vaccinated once we have a vaccine.

I think that a lot of these people talking about how they want things shut down until we get a vaccine, probably don't even get a flu shot regularly. I wonder how many of them will even get a flu shot this upcoming season. (And I am interested in seeing if there is a big increase in the number of flu shots that are taken this upcoming season.)

I do think that we could get an NFL season. At the very least start a season. I think how successful other leagues are in launching/relaunching their seasons (like the NBA/MLB) could also play a role in what happens with the NFL. If one or both of these leagues can have successful seasons, that could bode well for the NFL. (And give them ideas on how to deal with their own season). The Basketball tournament has been going on in a successful manner and they will be playing their championship game tonight. They have shown that team sports can on in some capacity even if it's in a really restrictive way.

Also, I think that if a bunch of players initially test positive as the NFL starts to prepare for their season, that could put a damper on things, but they stated they are prepared for possibly a lot of positive tests. And if they catch the diagnosis of the players early enough, they could recover by the time the season begins.
