Jay and some of the local free reporters have been speaking very well of Jake Luton. They say he is smart and has talent. Gardner also praised him as well. 

It sounds like he might could beat out Dobbs and Glennon as the #2 behind Gardner. It would be nice if the Jags found another six round gem.

I actually liked Luton in college. He played very well for being on a bad football team. He only had 3 bad games last season and two of them were against ranked teams. He's big, has a decent arm, is pretty accurate and the thing he excels at most, is not turning the ball over. He makes really good reads. Personally, since there is no chance of us being in contention this season, I say make him Minshew's backup. What have we got to lose? From what I've heard regarding the practices, he's outperforming Dobbs and Glennon. Why not? I would keep a 3rd QB though, probably Glennon, since who knows how this Corona Virus is gonna play out. We're gonna need a lot more personnel this year.
