I don’t think they want to deal with the necessary task of managing the personalities that typically comes with talented players with diva attitudes. Basically they want easy street. And they’ll use the locker-room-cancer cop out to justify their decision

I understand that every once in a while you’ll have somebody that you really have to off-load. But I mean, can you at least try to not piss off ALL our pro-bowlers?

That is a very disheartening, yet seemingly accurate, observation.  But I would say we currently are AIMING for mediocrity... we have a long way to go to get there.  Mediocrity would be 7-9 wins.  In the last decade, we have reached the 7 win threshold only once (2017).  Last year's 6-10 record was actually our 2nd best season in the last 10 years.  But Caldwell has been doing a great job...
