That's always his response when the defense plays poorly. He's a Wash apologist and he won't admit that we lack talent (which is to be expected.) Nobody is gonna admit that mistakes were made building this defense, but he needs to see what we ALL see. The scheme is outdated and does not work for the personnel we currently have. You can't play soft zone when you have no pass rush.

Again... I hear your complaint and feel your pain. But what do you propose schematically to make it better with our current personnel?  Cover 0 and put our DB's on islands all over the field?  I am not a fan of that.  We might create more sacks but we'd likely be giving up 40 points a game with huge plays against us.

That is just a nice way of saying "our players are not very talented, but we will say its fundamentals because we have to live with what we've got this season"
