I wasn't big on TLaw last year but watching him this year I've certainly come around. I don't care who is GM or coach, if we land Lawrence we'll be a better team immediately.

Again. To win a Super bowl, you need more than just THE QB. You need a Coach/FO that are competent and some good players around QB. And it is extremely difficult to put all those things together after drafting the QB.

I agree. I've long said that. It's why I hate when people talk up the top 1 or 2 QBs in every draft. It takes more and this idea that a generational talent puts you over the top is kinda silly. Luck was a "can't miss" prospect. That essentially gave them what Manning did half the time and not much more. They hit the playoffs consistently and were one and done mostly. Never got them a ring and ended his career early due to injuries.

Seems like he wasn't that much of a generational talent so much as just another really good QB. I think too much hype is put on these guys. Mahomes went 12th... He's looking more like a generational QB than Luck ever was...
But that all being said, the best QBs elevate the team around them. Luck took a 1 win clots team and made them a playoff team. No matter who the coaches were and what talent was around them. Stafford took the Lions out of the cellar to be mediocre...

Maybe we should just call Lawrence the best QB of THIS draft instead of the best QB to come out in the last 10 years before he's ever had a snap in the NFL is kinda my point...
