I don't want them as coordinators or even position coaches. I want an offensive minded head coach anyway. Martindale is just not a fit for this team. I wouldn't want Lewis or Smith as coordinators. Lewis especially. I endured him for many years here in the Cincinnati area. His teams showed no discipline. He let the players run wild on an off the field and never held them accountable for anything. They were always getting in trouble and Lewis did nothing. He was so wishy-washy. There were rumblings that Smith's teams were the same way. I definitely don't want another drill sergeant like Tom Coughlin, but I want coaches and coordinators who will hold players accountable for their actions and at least, expect them to act like grown men. He was coach of the Bengals for many years and he "let the criminals run the asylum." "Pacman" Jones and Vontaze Burfict were always getting into trouble on and off the field. They weren't the only ones either. Marvin Lewis never held them accountable for anything. It was an embarrassment. |
