Bullseye, I think there' s better than a 50 % chance that one of the other teams looking for a HC will hire Pederson as HC in the coming days or weeks, unless Pederson decides to take a year off from coaching.  Using the reasons and expectations you mentioned as the foundation of the decision. 

I would be very surprised though if it was the Lions or Texans that hired Pederson as HC.  In the Lions case,  because of the locker room problems when Matt Patricia was HC. With the Texans,  because of the current distrust Deshaun Watson has with ownership. 

While I think hiring Pederson would be a mistake by the Jaguars, Jets, Chargers, or Falcons, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if any of those 4 teams hired him as HC.

Now that's another issue entirely.

Of course iti's a good chance the Jaguars won't hire Pederson for whatever reasons.

Perhaps Khan has his heart set on Meyer.

Perhaps Pederson has no interest in coaching here.

Perhaps Pederson will be more persuaded by another team.

Perhaps Pederson has no interested in coaching this year after what transpired in Philly.

But if Khan is interested in winning....if Khan is interested in maximizing the production out of the franchise QB the team has lacked, it behooves him to interview the coaches that have proven able to get the most out of that position.  It behooves Khan to interview those who have won at the NFL level.  That means interviewing Pederson.
