I would be very surprised though if it was the Lions or Texans that hired Pederson as HC.  In the Lions case,  because of the locker room problems when Matt Patricia was HC. With the Texans,  because of the current distrust Deshaun Watson has with ownership. 

While I think hiring Pederson would be a mistake by the Jaguars, Jets, Chargers, or Falcons, it wouldn't surprise me in the least if any of those 4 teams hired him as HC.

Now that's another issue entirely.

Of course iti's a good chance the Jaguars won't hire Pederson for whatever reasons.

Perhaps Khan has his heart set on Meyer.

Perhaps Pederson has no interest in coaching here.

Perhaps Pederson will be more persuaded by another team.

Perhaps Pederson has no interested in coaching this year after what transpired in Philly.

But if Khan is interested in winning....if Khan is interested in maximizing the production out of the franchise QB the team has lacked, it behooves him to interview the coaches that have proven able to get the most out of that position.  It behooves Khan to interview those who have won at the NFL level.  That means interviewing Pederson.

If Doug Pederson wants to be an NFL HC this year, I believe he would be very interested coaching the Jaguars if he's comfortable with the Jaguars GM choice.   

The Jets might be at top of Peterson's wish list because of his connection with GM Joe Douglas from their days with the Eagles.  Whether Pederson wants to coach in the NY Metropolitan Area, after being in the frying pan in Philadelphia, could well be the key to whether he would accept a HC offer from the Jets.?

The Falcons could be plenty appealing to Pederson because they have an owner ( Arthur Blank ) who has a good overall track record of winning. The Falcons are run like a first class operation. The one negative is their problematic salary cap situation.

The LA Chargers have plenty of talent and Justin Herbert looks he will be a legit Franchise QB.  The major question mark is the Chargers are the opposite of the Falcons when it comes to ownership. Playing decisions are often made based on contract, not performance.  I strongly disagree with the opinion that many have, that the Chargers are at or near the top of the best NFL HC openings.  I would put them near the bottom.  Dean Spanos fired Marty Schottenheimer after a 14-2 season. A decision that contributed greatly to the eventual end of the San Diego Chargers.  If Pederson becomes Chargers HC,  I think he will regret the decision within a year.
