But I would only do that in the playoffs. Regular season, just let it end in a tie! It takes 3 hours to get to the end of the game already, why take longer?

I like OT to keep the same quarter structure. Especially in outdoor stadia, switching which end zone you are driving to can impact FG tries, running in mud, crowd noise, etc.

Yet another reason why domes are the worst.
