I get the strong impression that Meyer is the ultimate decision maker. I don't think he would have come out of retirement if that was not going to be the case.

I get the same impression as you about Meyer having a sense of urgency. But I think that's just the way he is. He has a constant sense of urgency about everything, and that's one of the things that makes him a great head coach.

I get that sense that Meyer is running the show as well. Everything both have said lends credence to that idea. When Baalke was hired he was quoted as saying, “I'm a resource for coach, that's the way I look at it." His title is GM but his role is more like a Director of Player Personnel with Meyer ultimately in charge.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.
