Exactly. We'd be trading up in the draft to select an upgrade on the second most critical position on the entire team. A position that currently has a below average player "protecting" a very crucial piece of this team's future. It would be well worth it to ensure Lawrence's safety. That's building a team through the draft.

Sign Beathard and trade Minshew for a 5th rounder. I don't see a whole lot of difference between the two QB's. We get a decent backup and we get another mid round pick. Sounds good to me.
