When the team lost Josh Oliver to injury as a rookie they had Dede Westbrook taking some of the snaps that were originally intended for Oliver in the play book.

So, a small group of receivers can absolutely rotate taking snaps at the "move TE" spot if the team fails to acquire a clear starter for that role. They will merely be limited as to what they can do as blockers in that spot, and blocking is not the primary role for that particular TE anyway.

Obviously it's better if we have a clear-cut TE body type for the spot, but it's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen this offseason, and you don't have to make a receiver put on 30 pounds to take snaps there.

The "Y" TE is your primary in-line blocker, not the "F"  - and it's the F we are talking about here.
