I just don't see that happening. I know the Packers shot themselves in the foot by drafting that Jordan Love kid last year. That was really stupid given that they already have a bonafide star QB, not to mention I think Love is gonna be a bust, but trading Rodgers? That would be madness! Keep him, try to move up in the draft and get him the best WR possible in a sign of good faith and basically offer to extend his contract, making him the richest QB in the NFL. He's signed through 2023, so if he wants to play elsewhere, he can't. Call his bluff and see if he retires. You don't trade him though. That is not even an option.

I wonder how long the Niners and other teams knew about Aaron Rodgers being unhappy with the Packers. Reporters like Ian Rapoport have stated that both Aaron and the Packers were trying to reach a long term deal and can't come to an agreement regarding that.

Jay Glasner said that the Niners have known which guy they've wanted to draft for a few days now, yet it's been made to appear in the media that they were and may still be undecisive on which rookie they want. Maybe the Niners were more interested in a rookie QB at first, but as soon as they caught whiff of the Aaron Rodgers situation they shifted their attention on trying to get him. (Along with some other teams who have been asking about him.)

If the Packers are stupid enough to trade Rodgers, the Jets better get on the phone quickly and offer up whatever they have to.
