I started a thread a while back stating this.  There's no way we end up with the 1st overall pick if Ramsey is on this team last year so I would include part of the value of 1.01 personally.  I know the Rams didn't give up more than what they gave us, so to me, it's a win win for both teams and Ramsey's departure absolutely contributed to us landing Lawrence.

I like this rationale.  That makes everything worth while.

Conversely, I don't compare the Ramsey offset to being Chaisson even though that was the pick we used to get him.  I think a direct result of losing Ramsey was reaching for CJ Henderson in which case, either pick may be just as bad .... or hopefully just as good.

.....  that fact that the dump resulted in the Jags getting Trevor is a major win.
